RESULTS

You missed a good ol' time if you did not attend the 2018 edition of the Equalizer regatta. We were met with picture perfect sunny fall conditions with 14 boats sailing. This was a well traveled regatta with boats coming from Kentucky, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Maryland. Crews started arriving Thursday and ventured downtown Nashville for some good food and great music. As boats started to be put together and launched, some ventured out to Percy Priest Lake for a beautiful sail. Saturday was met with sunny skies and winds that started around 8kts and built throughout the afternoon to around 20kts. We were able to get in four races for the day. Saturday evening was the infamous Gumbo party at Paul Latour's house. There was plenty of food, drinks, a fire pit and of course great S2 7.9 camaraderie. Sunday started off sunny with a chill in the air with good winds. We were able to get 2 races off before the wind shut off. The final results were Navigator in First place, Rebel in Second place, and Scalded Dawg in Third place. This was the final race of the S2 7.9 Class Association season and now we move South for the St. Pete NOOD in february.
