Amateur Division
Sailors of the 2019 Nashville Equalizer were met with sunny skies and tons of fun. Boats started arriving on Thursday evening with the rest showing up by early Friday afternoon. Most of the boats went out for a practice sail on Friday afternoon and were met with a beautiful sail. Racing commenced on Saturday with 17 boats on the starting line with winds out of the SE at 5-10kts. We were able to get in 4 races with many boats changing positions throughout the day. All of the crews had some sort of fun on Saturday evening. Most went to Paul's famous gumbo party, while others went to the Nashville Predators hockey game and also to the country bars in downtown Nashville. Sunday was a gorgeous day for water skiing and rowing, however that meant no wind and racing was cancelled at 11:00am with most boats on the road by 1:00pm. After 4 races, Navigator was crowned the Equalizer Champion and Itch was the Winner of the Professional division. A big thank you to Craig Dooley and the members of PPYC and the Race Committee for putting on a great regatta, and also Paul Latour for graciously hosting the class for a fantastic party. Nashville did not disappoint and we look forward to seeing you in Nashville next year.
Congratulations to Navigator for winning the Amateur Division and Overall.
