2014 Class Championship
Results
Relentless, skippered by Tac Boston wins the 2014 Class Championship.
The CCR started off slow with light winds on Thursday where only one race was sailed before the wind completely died and an impending storm on the way sent the boats in for the day. Friday brought no wind and thus races were canceled after a trip out to the racecourse was just a tease from the weather man. Luckily the Banquet made up for no racing on Friday. We had a fantastic meal from MBYC. We were also graced with a special guest. Scott Grahm, one of the boats designers was in attendance. Scott is really down to earth and was treated as a celebrity. Saturday was a beautiful day with wind. Three races were sailed with fierce competition at the top. Second Wind, K2, and Relentless each had a spot at the top of the leader board. In the end the Boston brothers and the crew on Relentless were able to pull out the Championship. Second overall went to K2 and third overall went to Second Wind. Second Wind also took home the Amateur Trophy.
The S2 7.9 Class would like to thank Scott Derby and Roger Gamache for all of the hard work organizing the regatta. We would also like to thank our PRO, Barb Gamache, for doing all that she could to make sure we had good races on the water even with the tough wind conditions. Lastly, we would like to thank MBYC for hosting our class at their beautiful facility. Join us in 2015 at Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, MN.
