Congratulations to the crew of Rebel on winning the Sarasota One Design Regatta. A report from Al Wolczyk on the race: "Too bad the participation was down for the Sarasota Mid-Winter one design regatta. Only three S2 7.9's showed up, Sperling, Wolczyk and Gregg. The weather was perfect, sun shining, 78 to 80 with winds 10 to 11. We got three races in on Friday and five on Saturday, crews were about to jump ship when they indicated a fifth race on Saturday. Sunday was a postponement on shore with a forecast of wind in the afternoon, needless to say we all packed up and headed out before traffic built. The Sailing Squadron were gracious hosts as usual and we can't thank them enough. I hope the class can have a better showing next year, the Albacore class had 35 for the weekend and expect more for their Internationals this week including 12 that came from England by container."
