Congratulations to Challenge
on Winning the
2024 Nashville Equalizer Regatta
1st Place - Challenge
2nd Place - Relentless
3rd Place - Rebel
For the 2024 Nashville Equalizer, we had one of the highest turnouts ever with 18 boats that competed. The weather was beautiful all weekend with picture perfect blue skies and temps in the upper 70s. Unfortunately, this also meant light to little wind. Fortunately, the wind filled in just enough for us to get in 2 races on Saturday. Following the races the fleet went to Paul's house for his famous Gumbo Party. It did not disappoint. We were treated to great food, new and old friends, gracious hospitality, a campfire and nearly a full moon. Sunday morning started with fog and no wind. The wind did fill in so we went out to race. Unfortunately, the wind then quickly died once all the boats arrived at the course. After around 45min without any signs of the wind filling in, racing for the day was cancelled. The final results had the all women crew of Challenge in first place, and Relentless and Rebel tied for second place with Relentless winning the tie breaker. Thank you for all those who traveled great distances, including Texas. Also a big thank you to PPYC for hosting another great regatta. See you in 2025!
